Who I Am
As a natural-born artist, I spent many years and hundreds of sketchbooks drawing to express whatever I felt or saw in my surroundings. I grew up in a very diverse area, which lead me traveling across the world when I became old enough. I was always fascinated by the amount of different cultures we had on this planet and how alike we were when broken down to our very core.
It then dawned on me that in this regard, black people are the same. Black Americans, Caribbean islanders, Afro-Latinos, and people straight from the continent are all culturally unique. However, I found that a lot of times we would condemn these differences, and it made me a bit sad when I saw the efforts made in separating ourselves.
In turn, I created Kotton Stickers in order to sew-in those gaps and bring us closer together as a people. We are one, and although siblings may not look like, they will always share an invisible bond that can become indestructible if woven tightly enough. With love that is <3 .
